About this product

Adhesive hook and loop dots in a stock colour at the standard diameters, die-cut from the same woven tape as the roll goods, which means the hook density and the peel per unit area match the strip product exactly. Standard diameters run from 10 mm to 50 mm, and anything outside that is a new die rather than a slitting instruction. Send the drawing and we quote the tooling and the part together, because the tooling is a one-off and the part is not.

Where it is used

It is specified where a large tape face would be wasteful: small parts, tight corners, and products where the closure area is fixed by the design rather than by the operator. The diameter, not the length, is the dimension that sets the peel.

Ordering

We quote EXW, FOB and CIF on the same sheet so you can compare against your forwarder rather than against our freight. Payment is 30 percent deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading.

How to specify it

Tell us how the part is applied — by hand, by a laminator, or by a pick-and-place head. The answer changes the liner, the index pitch and sometimes the adhesive, and it costs nothing to specify it at the quote stage rather than after the first run.

Quality control

Incoming yarn is checked for denier and colour before weaving, and the finished roll is measured at the core and at the outside. A slitting drift shows up at one end long before it shows up in the middle, which is why both ends are measured.

Packing and shipping

We ship the lot report inside the carton and by email, so the paperwork is with the goods and with your QA inbox at the same time. Certificates are issued per lot, not per year.

Ask for a sample cut to your width; it ships in seven days and it is the fastest way to settle a substrate or colour question. Send the substrate with the request if the bond is the open question, and we will test on your material rather than on ours.

Choosing this construction

Order by the profile, not the diameter: a round coin suits a drilled or moulded seat, a square resists rotation better on a flat panel, and a custom die-cut shape is what you specify when the part has to be applied the same way every time without a jig. Tooling is a one-off and typically takes 7–10 working days.

What is 25 mm hook and loop used for?

At 25 mm this construction is normally specified for furniture trim, panel fixing, mid-weight strap assemblies and equipment covers. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.

Kiss-cut or loose parts?

Kiss-cut keeps the parts on a continuous liner for dispensers and pick-and-place heads. Through-cut gives loose parts in a bag, which is cheaper and fine for manual assembly. Tell us which line you are feeding and we will quote the matching format.

What tolerance can you hold?

±0.3 mm on the cut profile and ±0.5 mm on position within the web. Tighter than that is a conversation, not a catalogue item. Watch the adhesive bleed as well: a soft acrylic can creep 0.2 mm past the cut edge in warm storage.
