About this product

This is the roll-goods version of hook and loop tape: 10-150 mm, a stock colour, held to plus or minus 0.5 mm at both the core and the outside of the roll. Stock widths are slit in one millimetre steps, so the size on your drawing is normally a slitting instruction rather than a new tool. Tell us the width and the put-up and the quote is against a stock construction.

Where it is used

Typical work is converting: slitting to a customer width, laminating to foam or film, die-cutting parts, and supplying a production line that applies tape from a roll rather than a made-up part. The web has to be consistent or the whole line drifts.

Ordering

Order quantity is quoted in metres or pieces depending on the construction, and we will convert between them if your system counts the other way. Mixed widths on one purchase order are handled as separate lines with a shared lead time.

How to specify it

The put-up matters as much as the width. A 25 m roll on a 38 mm core will not fit a mandrel built for 76 mm cores, and a kiss-cut part packed flat behaves differently on a dispenser than the same part wound on a roll.

Quality control

Each carton is labelled with the lot number, width, colour and quantity, and the lot report references the same number. That is what makes a claim traceable six months later instead of a conversation about photographs.

Packing and shipping

Rolls are wound on a core, bagged and packed in export cartons, palletised for LCL and shrink-wrapped for FCL. Carton marks carry your reference as well as ours if you send the format with the order.

If this is a repeat of an existing part, send the drawing or the previous lot number and we will match the construction rather than re-specify it. Re-specifying a part that already works is how a working assembly picks up a new failure mode.

Ordering and shipping

  • Sold by the roll, carton or pallet — mixed widths allowed.
  • EXW Xiamen, FOB or CIF to your port.
  • T/T 30% deposit, balance against copy of B/L.
  • Sample orders ship by courier in 7 days.

Choosing this construction

Bulk rolls are for converters who slit, coat or die-cut downstream. Check the splice count and the width tolerance at both ends of the roll before you build a line around it — a roll that measures 25 mm at the start and 24.4 mm at the end will jam a fixed guide.

Common questions

What is 25 mm hook and loop used for?

At 25 mm this construction is normally specified for furniture trim, panel fixing, mid-weight strap assemblies and equipment covers. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.

Are the rolls spliced?

No. Standard 25 m rolls are splice-free, and the width is held within ±0.5 mm at both ends. If you are running a fixed guide or a slitter, ask for the width measured at the core and at the outside of the roll on the lot report.

Can you slit to a width that is not on the list?

Yes, from 10 mm up to 150 mm in 1 mm steps. Slitting runs on a tension-controlled line at the mill, so a custom width does not add lead time once the master roll exists.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

Minimum order for this item is 500 m stock colour / 3,000 m dyed. Production runs 15–25 days after sample approval, with samples typically shipped in 7 days.
