Self-adhesive hook and loop tape with a pressure-sensitive backing, 10-150 mm wide in a stock colour. The liner is slit through the middle so the roll can be applied without the backing tearing across the web. Stock widths are slit in one millimetre steps, so the size on your drawing is normally a slitting instruction rather than a new tool. Tell us the width and the put-up and the quote is against a stock construction.
Where it is used
Common assemblies are headliners and interior trim, van and caravan fit-out, point-of-sale display, and temporary signage that has to come off without leaving adhesive. Wide tape spreads the load on the panel; narrow tape is used along edges and returns.
Ordering
Width, colour and put-up are set per order, so a mixed carton is normal rather than an exception. Minimum order is 500 m stock colour / 3,000 m dyed, and the master roll exists after the first run, which means a repeat order on the same construction does not add lead time.
How to specify it
If the width is still open, send the part, the drawing or a photograph with a ruler in it. Choosing between 20 mm and 25 mm on a photograph alone is guesswork, and the difference matters at the edge where the peel starts.
Quality control
Each carton is labelled with the lot number, width, colour and quantity, and the lot report references the same number. That is what makes a claim traceable six months later instead of a conversation about photographs.
Packing and shipping
Pallets are built to a 1,100 mm footprint and strapped, with corner boards on export shipments. If your warehouse takes a different pallet, say so at the quote stage — re-palletising at the port is charged by the hour.
If the width is not settled, send the drawing or the part it has to hold and we will suggest the narrowest width that does the job. Narrower is cheaper and follows a radius better; wider only helps where a large flat face has to stay down.

Choosing this construction
The adhesive decides whether this product works, not the hook. Clean and dry the surface, apply with a roller at roughly 10 N/cm², and leave it 24 hours before loading — peel measured immediately after application reads about 60% of its final value. On polypropylene, polyethylene or heavy powder coat, test a sample first or specify the rubber version.
Common questions
What is 25 mm hook and loop used for?
At 25 mm this construction is normally specified for furniture trim, panel fixing, mid-weight strap assemblies and equipment covers. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.
Will it stick to plastic crates or powder-coated metal?
Powder coat usually works with the heavy-tack acrylic, applied with firm roller pressure. Polypropylene and polyethylene have very low surface energy and are the most common field failure — test a sample on the actual substrate before production, or ask us to quote the rubber adhesive version.
How long before I can load it?
Twenty-four hours at room temperature for full strength. Peel measured twenty minutes after application is typically 55–65% of the final value, so a QC pull test done straight off the line will always read low and is not a valid reject criterion.
