About this product

This is a made-up hook and loop strap at 10-150 mm in a stock colour, with the closure running the full length so the working diameter is infinitely adjustable within the strap length. Stock widths are slit in one millimetre steps, so the size on your drawing is normally a slitting instruction rather than a new tool. Tell us the width and the put-up and the quote is against a stock construction.

Where it is used

It goes onto racks, trolleys, pipe bundles and machine covers. Wide straps spread pressure on soft or crushable loads; narrow straps are used where the bundle is small and the strap has to pass through a tight gap.

Ordering

Width, colour and put-up are set per order, so a mixed carton is normal rather than an exception. Minimum order is 500 pcs stock colour / 3,000 pcs dyed, and the master roll exists after the first run, which means a repeat order on the same construction does not add lead time.

How to specify it

Colour is the one specification that is cheapest to settle early and most expensive to settle late. Send a physical swatch if the colour is critical; a hex value on a screen will match under one light and fail under another.

Quality control

Every lot is checked before it leaves Fujian: width at three points along the roll, peel against the agreed window, and colour against the approved standard under D65 light. The lot report ships with the goods and names the result rather than just the specification.

Packing and shipping

Packing is poly bag plus carton as standard. For humid destinations we add a desiccant and a moisture-barrier bag, because a nylon roll that takes up water in transit will measure wide on arrival and settle back a week later.

Send the annual volume with the first enquiry, even if it is a range. Volume changes the put-up, the slitting plan and sometimes the yarn, and the same construction quoted at 500 m and at 50,000 m is not the same job.

Ordering and shipping

  • Sold by the roll, carton or pallet — mixed widths allowed.
  • EXW Xiamen, FOB or CIF to your port.
  • T/T 30% deposit, balance against copy of B/L.
  • Sample orders ship by courier in 7 days.

Choosing this construction

Match the strap to what it wraps, not to the load alone. Bundles under 30 mm do better with 12–16 mm ties, cable runs and tool handles with 20–25 mm, and anything carrying weight with 38 mm and a buckle rather than a tie. A strap that is too wide will not cinch tight enough to stop movement.

Common questions

What is 25 mm hook and loop used for?

At 25 mm this construction is normally specified for furniture trim, panel fixing, mid-weight strap assemblies and equipment covers. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.

Buckle or tie — which one?

A tie is faster to fit and cheaper, and is right for anything a technician opens daily. A buckle holds tension better and is what to specify when the strap has to stay tight under load without being re-adjusted. We supply both from the same webbing.

Can the straps be printed with our logo?

Yes, from 1,000 pieces on woven webbing. Send vector artwork; we will confirm the print area against the strap width before tooling.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

Minimum order for this item is 500 pcs stock colour / 3,000 pcs dyed. Production runs 15–25 days after sample approval, with samples typically shipped in 7 days.
