Self-adhesive hook and loop tape with a pressure-sensitive backing, 10 mm wide in Black. The liner is slit through the middle so the roll can be applied without the backing tearing across the web. At 10 mm this is a narrow build. It follows a tight radius and sits flat on small parts, but the engaged area at the edge is small, so it is not the width to pick where the joint is opened under load every day.
Where it is used
It goes onto aluminium frames, painted steel cabinets, glass partitions and laminated board. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol first; dust and mould release agents are the two most common reasons a bond fails in the first week.
Ordering
Custom widths are slit from the master roll in one millimetre steps from 10 mm to 150 mm, held to plus or minus 0.5 mm. If the width is not on the list, it is a slitting instruction, not a new tool.
How to specify it
To quote this without a round of questions we need four things: the width, the colour, the substrate or the seam it goes into, and the annual volume. The first three decide the construction; only the fourth decides the price band.
Quality control
Every lot is checked before it leaves Fujian: width at three points along the roll, peel against the agreed window, and colour against the approved standard under D65 light. The lot report ships with the goods and names the result rather than just the specification.
Packing and shipping
We ship the lot report inside the carton and by email, so the paperwork is with the goods and with your QA inbox at the same time. Certificates are issued per lot, not per year.
Ask for a sample cut to your width; it ships in seven days and it is the fastest way to settle a substrate or colour question. Send the substrate with the request if the bond is the open question, and we will test on your material rather than on ours.

Choosing this construction
The adhesive decides whether this product works, not the hook. Clean and dry the surface, apply with a roller at roughly 10 N/cm², and leave it 24 hours before loading — peel measured immediately after application reads about 60% of its final value. On polypropylene, polyethylene or heavy powder coat, test a sample first or specify the rubber version.
Common questions
What is 10 mm hook and loop used for?
At 10 mm this construction is normally specified for cable bundling, apparel closures, small adjustable straps and light packaging. The width does not change the peel per unit width much, but narrower tape engages fewer hooks at the edge, which is where peeling starts — so if the joint opens repeatedly, go up one width rather than up one grade.
Will it stick to plastic crates or powder-coated metal?
Powder coat usually works with the heavy-tack acrylic, applied with firm roller pressure. Polypropylene and polyethylene have very low surface energy and are the most common field failure — test a sample on the actual substrate before production, or ask us to quote the rubber adhesive version.
How long before I can load it?
Twenty-four hours at room temperature for full strength. Peel measured twenty minutes after application is typically 55–65% of the final value, so a QC pull test done straight off the line will always read low and is not a valid reject criterion.
